Here are the dates of upcoming programs and most have some presentation that will include organic. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to call or email because things do change!

Tuesday, March 3 – Wednesday, March 4 – 2026 USDA Ogallala Aquifer Program Workshop, West Texas A&M Campus in Canyon, Texas. Discussion and plans for research and education to maintain and preserve the Ogallala Aquifer for agriculture.

Tuesday, March 3 – Annual WIC Nutrition Meeting, Rooted in Care: Growing Healthier Communities Through WIC Nourishing Immunity by Integrating Nutrition, Traditional Wellness Practices, and Public Health for Lifelong Resilience. Harris County Education Department Conference Center at 6300 Irvington Blvd. Houston, TX 77022. Noel Lopreore, Organic Program Assistant will represent Texas A&M AgriLife Organic at this event talking about the health benefits of organic and the program in Texas.

Tuesday, March 17 – The Texas A&M University branch of the Agronomy Society of America (Agronomy Club) 6 pm at the Heep Center on Campus. Topic – Organic Weed Control in Field Crops.

Tuesday, March 24 – The Organic Trade Association is hosting two Virtual Buyer-Seller Mixers this March in partnership with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Transition to Organic Partnership Program (TOPP). These events are designed to connect domestic producers with businesses actively seeking organic and transitional crops.

Monday, April 20 through Tuesday, April 21 – Organically Grown Wine Conference – Willamette Valley, Oregon. Tuesday, June 30, Eagle Lake Rice Field Day, at the David R. Wintermann Rice Research Station, northwest of Eagle Lake off Hwy 102. Tours starting at 4:00 pm, which will be followed by an evening program and dinner at the Eagle Lake Community Center. Thursday, July 9, Beaumont Rice Field Day, at the Research Center, west of Beaumont off U.S. Hwy 90. Field tours starting at 8:00 AM, followed by a morning program, a barbeque lunch, and an afternoon tour on current research projects at the center.
